The kitchen, located under the loft library, features an electric double oven and a propane stove top. Propane was selected as the stove top because it reduced the dependancy on electricity, and made normal cooking available during power interruptions. It does use an electric lighter, but that's powered by a circuit that's available when the generator is running. There is also a refrigerator and dishwasher in the kitchen, and two upright freezers (one in the pantry/mud room and one in the garage) that will stay with the house. The Cabinets are painted hardwood with ceramic tile counter tops, accented with red sand stone separating the kitchen from the dining area. The Floors are ceramic tile also.
